Return of The Black Pearl

Cursed and lost
Taken from her rightful place
Abused and broken
Plundered and maimed
They used her to find the gold
All the while she called to him

He knows her sails
He knows her cannon blasts
Every inch of her etched into his mind
Driven mad by her abduction
His desertion and betrayal

But he and she are destined
Only she can set him free
Save him from himself
She feels his eyes burning like fire
As they search the endless sea and horizon
Longing for her

He'll stand before the gates of hell
Risk being hanged, endure time in prison cell
Fight the mightiest armies in the land
Climb a mountain, swim the seas
No one and nothing will keep him from his gem

Shrouded in darkness
Black as a moonless night
To some she's a floating nightmare
To him, she's a dark priceless treasure
He her Captain, she his ship

Together again
They sail away
There's no need of compass
Together they know the way
Know where they are going

They are sailing into
Infinity…..

To Love a Pirate

A port in the storm
A safe harbor to drop anchor

A pure drink of rum he cannot get enough of
An island full of treasures just for him

A soft touch after heavy handed combat
A sure and loyal heart to soothe his tempered soul

A smile through tears when he returns to the wind and waves
A promise to be just the same when at last he returns again

A woman must be all this and more to love a pirate
A woman who knows and is content to come second after the sea

Perceptions of a Pirate

To the world he is a criminal
With black soul and heart
His mind full of swirling bile
Conjuring for them an evil plot

To him they are his hunters
Foes set out to take his very life
To keep him from the treasure
His freedom they long to smite

To his crew he’s a leader
Steadfast and strong
To women he’s a charmer
Frightening, exciting all along

To him the crew a tool he needs to sail
He hopes they do not turn against and therefore prevail
Women are a pleasure though not a necessity
Except the ones who hold treasures to keep him on the sea

He sees himself, a man who is on the run
It’s just him against the world
He lives life under the gun
Then again he knows his enemies will fail

No he’s not fool enough to think they won’t try it
Still he boldly lets the black sails unfurl
For he’s not just any pirate
He’s captain of The Black Pearl

Anatomy of a Pirate

His hair is long and blacker then the sails of his ship
The sea breeze makes it dance
The sun makes it shine

His ears are keen
Always at the ready
To catch the slightest whisper
Or footstep that may be approaching

His eyes are like fire
Burning with the wild spirit within
Restless and greedy he scans the horizon
For someone to pillage and plunder

His jaw is strong, chin is proud
And then there’s his sensual mouth
Moustache and beard to complete the look
A handsome face, without a doubt

A ring adorned hand caresses the wheel like a lover
The wrist no stranger to bounds intended to capture him
The arms strong enough to steer his ship even through mighty storms
Or wield swords against those ignorant enough to cross him

His body is tanned, firm and strong
Within the chest beats the heart of a rogue
And though women may arouse his loins
His one true love is the sea

His legs are long and lean
His steps confident and swift
Capable of swimming for miles
Or run like the wind to escape

He’s a pirate
Through and through
Sailing the seas is his dreams come true
He’d have it no other way, would you?

Devil or Angel

As I went along my merry way
A pirate passed me by
And just for a moment I managed
To catch his dark eye

Wiley and cunning his eyes looked me over
The mouth a small smirk that was unreadable
"That's very interesting," he murmured to himself
And I smiled then blushed, for I am a lady

He swiped an apple from a vendor as he was passing by
The apple he presented to me with a bow and glint in his eye
"Thank you..," I questioned hoping to get his name
"Captain Jack Sparrow at your service madam,"

And as quickly as he appeared he turned on his heel and was gone
The apple I savored for something about it being a gift from a thief
Made the fruit all the more juicy and sweet
Devil or angel? I'd say the best of both….

Rum and Firelight

Dancing like village idiots
Around the fire so bright
Singing at the top of our lungs
Just me, him, rum, and firelight

Into the sand we fall
Drunk from the rum, song, and all
His eyes reflect the bright glow
Animalistic and primal he leers

I bite my lip and try to resist
Oh but the moon above has bewitched
Timidly, I reach and touch and feel
Skin on skin there's no turning back

My hair gets wet from the oncoming surf
My lips wet from his kiss
Only the two of us on our little piece of paradise
If this is what being ravaged by a pirate is.

Sea, salt, rum, and him
Sensual flavors all of them
But his is the one I want the most
Pirate King, your captive I will always be.

The Pirate King

Pirate to the common man
King of the seas
He's wicked and wise
Full of eccentric flair

Method to his madness
His goal is always in sight
To recapture his freedom
His ship and his life

Going so far as to do the right thing
Ah yes he's a pirate but this makes him a king
A good man is hard to find
Especially one who wears a disguise

At first glance, a villain
Ah but then look in his eyes
Beyond the anger and rage
A black heart does not beat in him

The fiercest battle he fights
Is the one fought from within
The angels and demons
All a part of him

The cunning thief
The gallant seaman
A villain and cad to most
A trusted comrade to chosen few

Pirate to the common man
King of the seas
Stunning and dashing
Consumes my dreams

Marooned (Captain Jack Sparrow's POV)

This must be what death is like
Feels like I am the only soul left on earth
Alone with no hope of survival
All because I put my trust in the wrong man

On the brighter side of things
The rum is plentiful
Maybe I'll drown myself in rum
And give that scurvy dog satisfaction - never

The worst part was watching the Pearl disappear
It was like a terrible nightmare that I couldn't wake from
The Black Pearl, my Pearl, stolen; me left to die
But dying is not what I will do, not here, not now

Think before the rum goes to your head Jack
One shot in your pistol, if worst comes to worst
I will kill that bloody Barbossa, that's who gets this shot
He better enjoy this small victory, cause the war's just begun

The Devil of My Dreams

Dark and full of mystery
He seeps into my dreams
The knowing smirk as if to say
Ah yes love I know what I'm doing to you

I feel I probably smirk back
Encouraging his spell to cast
Looking into his eyes there is no escape
He beckons me and holds me fast

He speaks to me words I neither can nor can't hear
But I know they are there and the message he sends
That I can't understand is foolish to pretend
He's the devil of my dreams, knows all my desires

He teases and tortures with flamboyant flair
And just when I am lost in his caress
The morning comes and he disappears
Until night falls again and I drift to sleep
